Montrell was born and raised in the WashingtonD.C. metropolitan area.  

He has been blessing people through the genres of jazz and gospel music for over 20 years.   He has performed with such notable acts as Fred Hammond, Jonathan Butler, Arturo Sandoval , Lil' Mo, Ledesi, Kermit Ruffins and The Dirty Dozen Brass Band.

If there was one scripture which Montrell could use to describe his life, and Ministry, it would be

Matthew 5:14-16

¹⁴“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. ¹⁶In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Montrell says…..  

“It is my prayer that whatever I do, and however I might impact ones life, may it be to ones edification.  If what I do simply moves one person ever so slightly closer to where God wants them to be, then together we have let our light shine!!”
